When I saw this Sunflower emerging for the first time, I really studied every detail. Slowly coming into its own being...be be part of this earth and bring gracious beauty to all who gaze at it. The colors are not the usual yellow that I see in most picture...but, the dark, orange red is refreshing. Face down at first, then when fully grown, head held high.
I have been in this same cycle so many times in my own life and experiences. Potential to be and become as I am created to fulfill in this life. The Creator of my world also created me...how loving He was to take time to invest into each little detail. The Sunflower stretched mighty in the sun and gazed to the sky with its face turned to the sun..waving in the wind, sometimes bending, but never breaking.
Life circumstances come and go, sometimes as a gentle breeze and sometimes as a brutal wind, bending me to my knees in prayer...seeking shelter of the Most High. I have learned much from photographing creation around me....not just trying to compose a photo, but taking time to examine life.
